Who we are:
Euromcontact, the European Federation of National Associations and
International Companies of Contact Lens (and Lens Care) Manufacturers, is a non-profit organization.
It has three types of members:
a) consisting of the National Associations of Manufacturers, representing France, Germany, Holland, Italy, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom: verwijderen , with Holland being a former and potential future member, and
b) the international companies of Alcon, AMO Ltd., Bausch & Lomb, Ciba Vision, CooperVision, and Johnson & Johnson Vision Care, Mark’Ennovy and Menicon.
c) the European Federation for the Contact Lens Industry (EFCLIN) with about 100 members in 30 countries.
Membership is open to properly constituted National Associations of all member states of the European Community, EFTA , European areas and of international companies of manufacturers of contact lens products.
Mission statement
The aims and objectives EUROMCONTACT are:
- To represent the requirements and views of the European contact lens industry to the Commission and Parliament of the European Community.
- To have established uniform legislation and procedures for the manufacture, standardization and testing of the products and to maintain these regulations and procedures up to date in the light of industrial and commercial developments.
- To exchange statistics on the size and state of the market in member countries and elsewhere in accordance with European law.
- To promote the expansion of the European market and opportunities for export.
- To maintain a high standard of consumer relations within the European Community and in all other markets.
- To seek to ensure fair competition.
- To safeguard economic, industrial and trade interests of the European sector of the industry.

President: Charles Snelling, representing the French association Syffoc and he is Area Brand Manager for Contact Lens Care Products for the ALCON EURMEA
Secretary: Steve Wheeler, Representing the European Federation for the Contact Lens Industry and Executive Director of EFCLIN.
